Oxblood 01 - Square 17

A deep layered red built from madder, cochineal and persimmon. Oxblood shifts between crimson, wine and brown-red as the silk moves through the light. Persimmon gives structure to the silk for a sculptural drape and a robust hand. Dyed slowly in successive layers, the surface retains subtle variations in depth and tone— the record of each colour beneath it.
